VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS SHOPPING OPEN HOUSE Tuesday November 10th. Every year before Christmas I do an Open House and donate the free books plus my commission to a charity. This year my open house will benefit Children's Link, who offer support and outreach programs to children with disabilities. Many of the kids are vulnerable and have spent the last 6 months unable to leave their houses and participate in any of their usual group meetups and social activities, leaving them feel...ing very isolated. Our very own Canyon Meadows Theatre in my community has offered them space to hold a socially distanced Christmas get-together - but they have no funds to fill their Santa's sack with gifts for the kids! So join me to help make it possible to fill that Santa sack. Do some of your Christmas shopping with me right here on Tuesday, November 10th - or just buy a book to donate to Santa's sack. Your purchases will raise 25% in free books for the organization, and I will be throwing in an extra box of books from my own stock. I'm not ready to start using a Christmas banner until Halloween is over, but it's such a temptation with 6" of snow (at least) lying in my back yard - it certainly looks like Christmas! But the season is here for curling up in front of the fire with a good book - this year more than ever. It's also not to soon to start buying Christmas books. our shipping is only a little slower than normal, thank goodness (and thank our wonderful warehouse staff too!) - unlike another major direct sales company whose shipping is taking 8 weeks at present - but let's not take things for granted. Order soon for Christmas to be sure. I'll soon be announcing another virtual open house, but today, to whet your appetite, I'll post about some of my favourite Christmas-themed books.
