Finished this piece for Jayden, Holly’s Grandson! Love how the texture enhances the print.

"Isolation to Liberation; There is Hope" After much deliberation and brainstorming this piece finally has a name. I have read a lot of historical novels. When I... started the piece it my intention to explore the liberation of women over time. In saying that, there are groups of women still oppressed in the world today. Due to the current epidemic everyone has become isolated. Therefore the scope of this piece has expanded. The first hand experience with isolation has given me more appreciation of those that are, or have been oppressed now or in the past, due to race, gender, religion or government. Who would have thought that a virus would demonstrate this to all of us! We will be liberated eventually but how many people will be lost? and how long will it take? Hopefully just a few years compared to decades or centuries it has taken for others. Looking at it this way puts it into perspective! There is hope and that is all we really need. Laine See more
