Due to the recent provincial updates for Covid-19 and the community spread we are going to put a pause on the clothing donations coming in. At the current time ...we’ve filled our storage space, and will not be hauling clothing out to the truck till we know more or the community spread stops. At the same time if someone is desperately in need of some warm clothing, tent, sleeping bag please ask one of the volunteers and we will gather what you need in the size requested. Once a clothing item is tried on we have to steam clean it and hang it up for another week. Thanks to everyone for understanding and we look forward to a time when we can run smoothly again!

21st Annual Cars R Us Toy Drive is in full swing. Our tree is now standing in the show room, and the toys are already beginning to pile up!!! We’re accepting unwrapped toys up until December 7th. If you are not totally comfortable with the current circumstances/going out to shop this year, we will be encouraging cash donations and we will look after going to purchase the toys. It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

** Wow, just wow! I can not believe how many people have signed up this far! A lot of questions that have come up I’ll answer those here’s Due date : December ...20th. When they will go out: December 21st with our Christmas dinner. How do we sign up: send us a message here or email and let us know if you’d like to do a female or male as well as how many, and we will add you to our list Can I bake a gift?: we have to say no as we have a few seniors with severe allergies, and everything we serve needs to be prepared in a licensed kitchen. Each week I will update a list on Monday as to how many gifts we require for each gender. If we receive more than we need we can give some out to the seniors in the three nursing homes in Sackville to keep the Christmas cheer bright in Sackville this year! We are going to do things a little different this year! Last year we were able to secure a small gift for every single person that visited the truck through the pathfinders of lower Sackville. This year we are asking our larger community of Sackville to help us secure a small gift for the seniors who are stuck at home and can not leave their residence. We would like to to bring a little bit of holiday cheer to the 121 seniors we provide delivered meals to. To get involved just purchase a small gift a senior would like, wrap it up and mark it with an F for female or a M for male and we will fill out each label from Santa Claus. Such a great idea for this holiday season! "Many have asked us what the chocolate is for? Well we have been working away at a Christmas fundraiser for our freedom kitchen Christmas supper on December 21st. We had a great donation of Almonds and cashews a few weeks ago so we decided to make Christmas boxes of Christmas nut bark and candy cane bark. These boxes are all ready to give as gifts with ribbon, bows and Christmas bulbs on them. We have a small individual box for $2 and a family box for $10 these will go on sale on Monday at Knox church! You can message us here to place an order. Cars R Us is the best car dealership we have ever experienced, we went online and found the vehicle we were looking for 2016 Ford Explorer XLT and it so happened Cars R Us had one in stock the color and interior and accessories we wanted. Arriving at Cars R Us we met Tony and told him the SUV we were interested in. After we went for a test drive we were convinced this is the SUV we were looking for. After 4 to 5 weeks we had some issues with the SUV at which time Gary told us... not to worry he will have the Explorer repaired at the dealership.
