Happy New Year to all! We would like to share with you a tiny exerpt from Carswell Music Studio's Winter Music Showcase for the residents of Ivan Franko Homes (in Mississauga) which took place at the beginning of December 2020. The showcase was presented in a virtual format, via ZOOM. However, we would like to give a special shout-out to Jaime Scaman and Zoriana Kilyk who had the chance to attend the showcase in person! This was a great opportunity to connect with a group of people most deserving of some musical enlightenment during these difficult times. Carswell Music Studios was honoured to be able to deliver this experience, and we look forward to playing many more concerts for our seniors in the future!

Carswell Music Studios continues finding creative ways to provide quality music education, like vocal lessons outdoors! For as long as the weather will allow, this is how our vocal lessons will be run! This past Saturday, Carswell Music Studios held its first ever virtual workshop - and what an adventure it was! Our students and teachers had the opportunity to explore the wonderful world of JAZZ!! Meet: DANIELA Instrument: Piano Location: Mississauga ... Daniela is a grade 12 student at Clarkson Secondary School in the French Immersion program. This past year she has completed her Grade 8 Theory and is finishing her RCM Level 8 Piano. Daniela has always loved teaching kids and currently teaches swimming and piano lessons. She is ready to get kids excited for piano lessons and encourage them to want to learn more!

Meet: JIM Instrument: Piano & Voice Location: Mississauga... Jim Carswell graduated with his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Toronto in 1978, majoring in voice, piano and composition. He continued his studies to achieve an A.R.C.T. In piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, as well as a degree in Education and an Ontario Teacher’s Certificate in 1979. He has received several Arts and Letters awards in musical composition.
