CARVINGS BY STELLA Custom carvings that you create in your mind, then we create it on a medium. Hardwoods and Softwoods, most plastics, soft metals.... We have the capabilities of carving a piece of material 30" x 30" by up to 2 1/2" deep. The material to be carved has to be quite flat. The process we have been using is the customer sends us an email describing what they would like to see on their sign/carving, with the respect to size, material, fonts, images they want. We take the request and create the sign you'd like, then email a screenshot of what the final product will look like (with very good accuracy), before wood or other material is touched by the machine. A quote would be sent at this time. We need feedback from the customer to get the product they would like. We have had good results lately of incorporating images into carvings (around 80% of images can be carved, contrast being the biggest issue). Our pricing revolves around the overall size of the carving, whether the material needs to be laminated (we do that with biscuit joining), whether or not you finish it yourself or we do. Cost of the material is a big issue, as is postage to get it to it's final destination, if that is required. If you have a piece of special material you'd like to use, we can accomodate, you'd just have figure out how to get it to us. Upon the acceptance of our design, we require a 50% down payment of the quoted price before we proceed (including shipping if required). We can arrange pickup conforming to social distancing.
