Would have been great to have everyone gather for this event but due to certain rules and regulations set by the province in regards to social distancing, we have decided to play it safe and do our part in order for our lives to eventually return back to normal. Dear Members, Due to some restrictions to outdoor gatherings that are still unclear with the province, we as a board have decided that it’s best to postpone our annual picnic. Since Folklorama is canceled for this year we are possibly thinking of moving the picnic to sometime in August. Thank you to everyone who took the poll and those who emailed in their thoughts about moving the picnic to the Portuguese Recreational Park this year. We can tell you that 72% of the people wh...o replied voted that we should move the picnic this year. Please stay tuned for an announcement as to when the new date for the picnic will be. Dear members, we are looking to hold our annual picnic on July 12th, 2020 (depending on regulations of the province at that time). For years we have held the picnic at St. Malo Provincial Park but we have discussed that this year we may try to hold it at the Portuguese Recreational Park. To be fair to everyone we have included a link to a poll to give everyone the opportunity to vote on the location. Please feel free to discuss in the comments as well. Be a Harvest Hero. Help us feed vulnerable neighbours, at-risk older adults, children and families! Winnipeg Harvest and its partner organizations are front-line responders during this coronavirus crisis. With schools and businesses closing, job and wages losses, vulnerable and isolated adults, the demand for food in local communities across the province is steadily increasing, and our capacity to respond decreasing. We are continuing to operate as best as possible to ensure... our neighbours have enough food to eat during this uncertain time. We need your support more than ever to keep our warehouse open and food flowing.
