Happy Hump Day! Today is #wcw "Woman Crush Wednesday". We would like to highlight a special resident in our Home who recently celebrated her 100th birthday with the entire Casa Dolce Casa Community and her loved ones. Zuzana Sliva was born on May 19, 1919 in Slovakia (formerly part of Czechoslovakia). ... She came to Canada in 1949 and spent most of life in Montreal where she devoted herself to caring for her family (husband, son, daughter and brother-in-law). She loves gardening, reading, watching her soap operas, and socializing. She was a wonderful cook and continuously spoiled her family with delicious baked goodies. Her baking was greatly coveted at Church Bazaars and Banquets. She is the proud Grandmother (Baba) of 2 granddaughters and Great-grandmother of 4 young grandsons. Zuzana has been at the Home since 2017, she is loved by all (staff and residents alike). Her sweet disposition and her love of singing lifts all our spirits. We were honored to present Zuzana with a framed birthday greeting from Her Majesty The Queen! Her Centenarian went off with a bang!
