Choose whether you will use a smartphone, tablet or computer and make sure that the device is fully charged or plugged in. 2. Find a private and quiet space away from distractions. Use headphones if you live with others. 3. Ensure you have a secure WiFi connection. Close any other applications that may slow down the connection. 4. Download the app or install the software that your doctor’s office uses for video visits. 5. Prepare ahead of time by testing out your technology before you begin. 6. If you can’t connect by video, ask your doctor if you can connect by phone instead.
