Face masks are not yet mandatory in Manitoba, but Casera follows the recommendations of public health officials. We strongly encourage our members to wear face masks when doing business in any of the branches.

Non-medical face masks are required for Casera staff, members, and visitors to the branches. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Travelex, Casera's foreign exchange provider, has decided to close its online and retail operations and cease trading in the United States and Canada. Casera is currently seeking a new supplier. We will provide an update once one is found. In a recent survey, 80% of Casera members polled responded favourably to wearing a face mask. While the Manitoba government has not yet mandated the wearing of face masks indoors, we are following the recommendations of public health officials and we strongly encourage our members to wear one when doing business in any of our branches.

Last week, Casera made history by holding its 68th Annual General Meeting (AGM) via teleconference. It was the first time members participated in an AGM by telephone and not in person. Members heard about Casera's continued financial stability in 2019 assets grew to $421.9 million and deposits increased to $391.5 million. Both totals were higher than those of 2018.
