A little break from the Crux influx on my feed - it’s been a hell of a season in the snow! I still get more anxiety before dropping in than when I had a crush in high school. The sense that I’m not fully in control of what will unfold before me is so daunting, but the calculations and commitment that’s required to drop in open up what was once the unknown.... @jesseasaunders taking a hard turn into the best conditions we’ve ridden this season! It’s been a busy holiday season for me. I’m grateful to have my hands full and in so many different jars, but I do miss taking my camera out day after day. A week after returning from the Bugaboos, I joined @echoconservationsociety to help spread the word about potential logging in critical caribou habitat. I’m beyond excited to say that we’ve almost put a complete halt on the BC government’s plan to auction 13 cutblocks. We have no intention on stopping here, as the remaining 3 cutblocks should not be auctioned off either. After documenting the Argonaut Creek drainage, we shifted gears and focused on the wolf cull in BC. We’ve... been documenting a wolf pack for the last two years, and while checking our different trail cameras, I got to see a different perspective of what was one of my most memorable climbs in my life. This is a long story to simply share a fond memory of the Beckey-Chouinard route on the South Howser Tower, but I don’t care! What a cool view, and it almost brought me to tears of joy.
