Not many people would have predicted this back in March 2020 when the pandemic hit. - My take is that there a few reasons behind this upward trend: 1) Interest rates are at all time lows. Money is essentially free right now 2) People are putting more value into their home as they are spending more time there... 3) Larger homes are selling more than smaller ones increasing average prices 4) Homeowners have built up so much equity in their homes in the past 10 years that even with some uncertainty we haven’t seen fire sales 5) We continue to see a lack of inventory. Construction is delayed as permitting and trades have been impacted.
