Not many people would have predicted this back in March 2020 when the pandemic hit. - My take is that there a few reasons behind this upward trend: 1) Interest rates are at all time lows. Money is essentially free right now 2) People are putting more value into their home as they are spending more time there... 3) Larger homes are selling more than smaller ones increasing average prices 4) Homeowners have built up so much equity in their homes in the past 10 years that even with some uncertainty we haven’t seen fire sales 5) We continue to see a lack of inventory. Construction is delayed as permitting and trades have been impacted. We are falling behind in inventory - There are a bunch of reasons beyond this, but these are what I am seeing on a daily basis. - The lifestyle trends that are becoming the new way of living are likely going to be here for a while with or without the vaccine. - I do think that downtown cores across the country will slowly come back to life but it will take some time. - If I had a crystal ball I would expect to see these price increases and buyer tends continue into 2021. - What do you think? . . . . . . #realestate #realestateagent #realestateinvesting #archibaldrealestategroup #remax #upsizing #homeandliving #homeanddesign #vancouver #torontorealestate #albertarealestate #vancouverrealestate See more
