Bedtime can be a struggle, and let's face it... At the end of a long day, it's hard to find the energy to stick with a consistent routine. This quick read outlines a good strategy for how to deal with kids who are constantly getting out of bed! https://www.npr.org//the-bedtime-pass-helps-parents-and-ki

When we tell our kids they can accomplish their goals if they work hard, it's not false hope. https://wsvn.com//woman-is-1st-openly-autistic-person-to-/

Hi everyone, This email was passed along to us by one of our clients/parents, and we have been given permission to share it with all of you so that you might benefit from the information: Hi!... Sorry for the form email, but if you're receiving this, it's because I work with your child with ASD and I might be able to put together a rare (albeit last minute) parent education seminar on February the 25th. David Loyst of Reference and Regulate will be in town to work with one of my clients specifically (his parents have paid and arranged for this), but he is willing to come a day earlier to speak to the families of my clients with ASD. As you've no doubt heard me gush, David is the most coherent, humane and compelling ASD clinician that I have ever experienced. If you're working with me, then you're working with techniques that David pioneered and perfected. I really encourage you to see David and ask him your questions in person - he is so generous with his time and has over 30 years of direct ASD intervention experience from which to draw. It will change how you think about, and interact with, all children, not just those with ASD. To see if this is at all feasible, I'm just trying to get a sense of the number of people who could commit to the event. The cost would be about 130-150$ per individual (parents, aides, extended family, etc.). This cost goes directly to the speaker and only goes toward paying his seminar fee and the cost of one night's accommodation for him at a hotel. I'm not looking to profit from this; I'm just trying to put together an event that I think my clients will benefit from immensely. If I can't get enough people (at least 10) then I won't be able to hold the event. This would be an adults-only event. Here is a link to David's Website: http://www.randrforautism.com/index.php?page=28 Please let me know if you can commit to this date, and, of course, call with any questions.
