Cassie’s Dog Spa remains open during the Provincial Emergency Break for the next month

Today, some of our Northern dogs will begin looking for their new homes. As, some are still in foster, awaiting spay/neuter etc. we will be posting on our websi...te and facebook ONLY the ones who are currently available for adoption. Our responsibility is to ensure that the right home is selected for each dog, it is NEVER a case of first come first get. Please understand that some of these dogs have not lived with families or in cities and have never experienced a "home" environment so living in a home will be new to them, stairs will be new to them, everyday sounds such as dishwashers, traffic etc. is all new to them. Patience, understanding and commitment will be vital to ensure they have a happy ending. Some of their stories are heart wrenching, both for them and the people who have played a role in wanting a better life for them. If you see a dog, that interests you, please research their breed, gain a knowledge of specific traits they may have. Talk to the animal care staff during meet and greets, they have spent hours getting to know them. All of these things will go a long way to ensure they live a happy, healthy and safe life. Rules and information for the Spa opening: 1. A mask must be worn at all times. 2. We are doing curbside drop off. Please text 519-312-1582 when you arrive. We will come out to get your doggie. If you’ve forgotten your phone please come up to the window and we will come out. Employees only are allowed in the Spa at this time. ... 3. There is a form for everyone to fill out. We will bring it to you when we come get your dog. This form needs to be completed for each dog. It only needs to be filled out once so we will keep them on file. This form asks contact info, vet info, allergies, health concerns, etc. Once you have completed the form, please put it in our black mailbox located at the right hand side of the spa. We will come grab them. 4. Appointment times may take longer than usual. Some dogs are severely matted which takes much longer to groom. This can get us backed up. We will try our best to get everyone done as quickly as possible. 5. When your dog is finished we will call/message you to let you know. Please don’t come for pick up until you receive your notice that the doggie is done. We are completely booked up. Please come for pickup as soon as possible after you receive your call/msg so we don’t have too many dogs at the salon at a time. 6. To book a next appointment, at this time we ask that you message 519-312-1582 or Facebook message us. Usually we’d love to book you in while you’re at the shop but during the next few weeks we will be too busy to offer this. 7. I apologize in advance to anyone that I’m not able to meet and introduce myself to at this time. Once things are settled I cannot wait to meet everyone and finally get to chat!! 8. Some dogs are going to be severely matted. All dogs in severe condition will have to be completely shaved down. If your dog has some matting, they could look a little uneven. If you request just the mats to be cut out, the dog could look a little patchy. It’s more important to get those mats out to avoid infection, bruising and/or bleeding. Let’s hope we are done with lockdowns so we can get our fur babies looking their best again. 9. Most doggies nails will be quite long. This means their quicks will also be long. We can only take off up to the spot where the quick starts. Some dogs nails will still look longer than you’re used to. In order to get their nails back to a normal length, we suggest getting their nails done every month. 10. Payments can be made in cash, debit or credit. We have a wireless terminal we can bring out to you that will be disinfected after each use. All prices are plus tax. 11. Can I also just add how amazing our clients have been!! We cannot thank you enough for all your support and patience during these hard times! I can’t wait to see everyone soon!!

Please welcome Cassie Jones who will be joining us as my Grooming Assistant and my step mom Jane will be giving us a hand with curbside drop offs/pick ups and processing payments! If anyone is unsure what time their pre-booked appt date is just send us a message and we will let you know. CAN’T WAIT to see all my doggie clients!!
