Introducing...DANIELLE! Here's a little info she wanted to share with everyone: I am a 1st year graduate from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy, receiving my 1000-hour certificate with Honours with Distinction.... I am currently enrolled in my second year and working towards my Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) designation. I received my hands on mentorship and practicum hours under the guidance of Jolene LeBlanc, a well-respected and highly knowledgeable RMT with 11+ years experience. I am thrilled to be able to offer a Spa Massage treatment that is designed for optimal relaxation for anyone in need of a replenishing hour of self-care. I was born, raised, and have lived in Slave Lake my whole life. I am a mom to two boys. I enjoy time with friends and family and the many outdoor activities that Slave Lake has to offer: kayaking; boating; fishing; time at the beach/lake; quadding; and ski-dooing. I also LOVE to travel - discovering and exploring new places. I always knew I wanted a profession that involved helping people. My desire to help people shifted to my family - raising my boys. Several years ago, when a family member began experiencing chronic pain, it reignited my interest in the healing arts. This took me on a learning journey and eventually into massage therapy. I love massage therapy and know that I have so much more I want to learn. I have a special interest in how to treat headaches and migraines, and how to treat and work with trauma stored in the body. These areas of interest have been inspired by my own and loved ones’ experiences. Much love to all those who need it. Over the last couple of weeks, we ran a contest. What we learned is that when we feel we've had almost everything stripped away from us, what is most important is to be with the ones we love, our friends and family. We learned that we're most grateful for our family and friends, fond memories and traditions, technology and our ability to connect virtually, our health and life in general. We learned that we live in a great Community that supports and cares for their neighbours.... Most importantly, on the 12th day, we learned how much we love and are grateful to have each other in our lives. It was amazing to see all of the gratitude and appreciation being shared between loved ones, which might not normally be said often enough. It has without a doubt been a tough and tumultuous year for many of us. No matter what your situation may be, we are all trying our best to make the most of this situation. Be truly kind to one another and most importantly to yourselves throughout this Holiday Season. Finally, we would like to say THANK YOU! We wouldn't be where we are today without your support and friendship over the years, especially through 2020.
