My little twinsies are TWO I can’t comprehend that they are already two! I always say it can’t be true and that surely only eight months have passed. Honestly it’s been the hardest two years of my life thus far (throw in a pandemic of course) but the absolute most abundant in laughter and love. These two little girls are pure joy ... Audrey is our most defiant and everything should only happen on her time in her way. She’s more extroverted and walks into a room ready to explore whatever catches her attention. You can always find her building, doing puzzles and trying new ways to go down her rollercoaster. Just recently she’s been cuddling daddy on the couch and demanding he turn on hockey. Vivienne is still nicknamed bam bam because she is mighty. She’s definitely more rough and tumble and usually isn’t too phased by an injury. She’s exceptionally caring and if she asks for a treat or receives anything at all really she will stand there saying Audrey’s name to make sure she can also deliver whatever it is to her sister. She’s our in home consoler giving hugs and back rubs to anyone shedding tears and is running off to the bathroom to find a bandaid if she sees any injuries. Together, the cutest duo. Laughing at who knows what, wrestling away and chatting babble together. We are not without some epic battles though! Both are obsessed with dogs and squeal intensely anytime they see one anywhere! They are in that independent stage and change 100 times per day into outfits you only hope others know they chose themselves. They absolutely have the twin bond that you’d imagine with identical twins but that doesn’t exclude the insane one they have with older sister. 3 JUNE 17 2017 Three years since I do. The first 7 years gave us a run for our money. A true medley of fairytales and hardships so tightly mingled that they wrote a love story you’d watch on the big screen. ... Then came marriage. The first year was surprisingly difficult. Our second year was just full of surprises (why would we have thought any differently). I mean, THREE kids (I’ve secretly always wanted a big family). Three GIRLS (made for it ). Identical twin girls (straight outta my childhood dreams). Third year was navigation. We had to become even more selfless than we thought possible and truly intertwined as a team. We learned the ropes of giving and giving and giving some more with the hope of a reward of a bonded family unit and a home full of love and laughter. We made it. Our third year as husband and wife brought us less sleep than we ever even thought humanly possible but expanded our hearts bigger than that. 10!!!! 10 flippin’ years of living and loving together. Today marks 10 years official (dating). We locked eyes and he knew. So much so that he confessed this to one of my best friends. And once our worlds collided again, nothing could stop us. You could call it love at one and half sight. ... But that one lucky evening, literally St Patrick’s Day, the cauldron erupted and we were in it for the long haul. It has always been magical and messy. Fierce, wild, easy and absolute. A complete contradiction of feelings all meshed together to create these 10 years. We could have never predicted all the things we would experience together. But we’ve climbed through the trenches together and we’ve celebrated in ways I could never explain in words...together. Always together. Cheers to a decade filled with it all. Cheers to the next! Merry Christmas from my family to yours! 2019 was by far the craziest, busiest and strongest year for Castle Avenue. Some days I didn’t know how I was going to manage and crumbled behind the scenes. Other days I felt amazed and empowered. More importantly, most days I felt supported and loved which continued to fuel this passion. Grateful for a holiday recharge and the best clients in the world

Taking you out of this winter wonderland back to warmer days. Don’t get me wrong I love how the snow gets me into the Christmas spirit and do have more of a hop in my step on Christmas morning when large fluffy flakes are falling. But I live for days like this where the warm sun beams. This photo is exciting because Lydia is a Castle Avenue Bride so I feel very attached to her session.

This wedding season consisted of a lot of farm fresh wild flowers and I loved every colourful minute of it

We aren’t just picture perfect posey over here! Of course I capture a few of those typical photos but my goal is to allow you to feel carefree, stress free (which can sometimes be very challenging with independent small children) and FUN! Yes, I said it. I want your family to have fun and run and giggle and be authentic because these are the true moments of parenthood

Most of my inquires (and Castle Avenue couples) tell me how they rather have a more candid approach to their day. They are after the real, raw and emotional parts of their day. I work really hard to provide both beautiful imagery that portrays true emotion. I don’t think this photo could be any more authentic while still being thought out. My goal is to have you so comfortable that your true self shines bright in your day. I seriously love how Ainslie’s happiness shines through like beautiful sun beams

Karen... my quiet, timid and super sweet bride found the courage to ask for one thing of me (I say courage because she’s so shy that in high school she had her friends order her subs from subway); to try and capture images at sunset. She mentioned this was one of her dreams. I’m so happy she made this a priority as the sun sure did cooperate

This is FOUR It’s official... we no longer have three kids three and under. Our oldest dear Olivia has turned 4 today and I can’t believe it. You bet last night was filled with emotional tears as I cuddled her one last time as my little three year old. Isn’t it funny how our existence as mothers is to raise our young but still find it SO difficult when they are actually doing so? That’s just the true epitome of motherhood; letting go while holding on... such confusion.... Olivia Blair, you entered my life as a pure piece of magic. Keep shining bright. In regards to portrait photography (maternity, family etc) packages would you prefer: 1. Paying a higher upfront investment for photography but receive 50-100+ images from a session ($400+) or 2. Paying a lower upfront investment ($275ish) with set number of images (20ish) and the option to purchase more images by paying per image?

And they always think taking photos will be no fun! I beg to differ! A great tribe and a photographer who allows you to be yourself with your buddies is all you need. Okay and maaaaaaybe a little bit of liquid courage but there’s no evidence of that
