Pets love treats, and you love your pet! While you might want to give a treat whenever your pet begs for one, consider the 10 percent rule first. The 10 percent rule is simple...treats should not make up more than 10% of your pet's daily caloric intake. For example, if your pet requires 300 calories per day, they should have no more than 30 calories from treats with the other 270 coming from their regular diet.
