Excelllent training by Julie Ann once again for our team.

@castlegarsearchandrescue reponded to a call early sunday morning to retrieve a stranded snowmobiler. The snowmobiler notified the RCMP of his location using a #inreach device. Never hesitate to call for help! There is no charge for Search and Rescue in BC and it is better to be on the safe side. Thank you to everyone who responded including our members in the Incident Command Post! We value each and every one of you dedicating your time and efforts. And a very special thanks to @sheshredsmountainadventures. What was supposed to be a training event turned into an emergency response and we appreciated having your expertise on-site

Mountain Rescue Training session. Weekend long in the Valhallas. Regional mountain rescue team members enjoyed a great, yet smokey weekend. Attending were a couple of our CGAR SAR members. "Thanks to Summit Mountain Guides for the training!"

Members from the Castlegar Search and Rescue #swiftwater team got out this morning for some training. It is important to keep basic swiftwater rescue skills sharp. We focused on reading the hydrology of the river, swimming techniques, and throw bag rescues. #searchandrescue
