Urgently looking for a foster home for a little male Lhasa Shih-Tzu mix. We have to relocate the little dude as he is verbal when left alone and we have had some noise complaints. We need someone who is home more than not, and lives in a SFH. If you can help or know someone who can help, even temporarily until a more permanent solution is found, please let me know asap!! Thank you to everyone who baked, volunteered, and visited us at Pet Valu in Hawkesbury on Saturday. We raised $405.00 including the remote raffle ticket sales. The moment you all have been waiting for. Susan W, a collegue of mine at work drew the winning tickets this morning. And the winners are: 1st place - Vivian's amazing raffle basket with a Rupert wrap, dog treats and toys, coffee and Tia Maria - Finola Pitcher!!!!!!! URGENT shout out for local foster homes in the Ottawa Area!!! We have five dogs waiting for foster spots who are fully vetted and are in very temporary holds waiting for a spot. All our foster homes are either taking a needed break or full. I've attached pictures of the babies needing foster spots. Calling on volunteer bakers, event helpers and fosters... CRO is having an event at Pet Valu in Hawkesbury on February 7th and we would like to have some baked goods to fund raise for CRO. Baked goods, home canned goods, jams... whatever you'd like to donate. Please email me to let me know if you can contribute and if you need to arrange for drop off... Divest AC is a movement started by some Algonquin College students in Environmental Studies, one of which is my son Jonathan Baggs. Their goal is to inform and gain support to convince the Algonquin faciilty to divert investment away from fossil fuels towards green solutions. Miah went missing new years eve and was captured.. and Bolted again from her adopters!!!!!!!! We need your help. She escaped from them last night while visiting their son in Ottawa and the last sighting was in the downtown core, anywhere from the Glebe to Lansdown Park, Riverside, and Billings Bridge areas were reported sightings. If you are on your way home from work.. PLEASE keep your eyes open and if you see her, please contact the phone #s in the posting attached. Her... foster parents and her adopters have been out all day putting up posters and talking to people and looking for her. Pray we catch her soon. Miah (previously Tullip) came from a hoarding case in the Montreal area through the Montreal SPCA. One of Miaha sibblings bolted about a month or two ago and got hit by a car. Miah's sister who we also took into rescue went missing from her adoptive home as well, but was captured and returned to us. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our foster families, transporters, voluneers, supporters for the love and support they have provided to the precious dogs in need during this past year. Congratulations to Lucie Meloche!!! She is now the proud owner of Masters N Dogs Pet Store in Westboro!! Lucie Meloche has been a huge supporter of Catahoula Rescue over the years and I wish her all the best in her new career choice!!!

Do any other rescues have a foster we can borrow for a week that doesnt have any other dogs? Our foster was in a car accident and Patsy is a great dog, but is dog reactive on and off. We are desperate to find a solution as we don't have any spots right now for her without other dogs. We either need an experienced foster who can crate and rotate and is comfortable doing so, or someone without other dogs. If you know anyone who can help us, Please message me.

We are looking for adopters and/or volunteers in the Ottawa area who are able to assist us while a few of our fosters are travelling out of town during the holidays. If you are able to lend us a hand by temporarily fostering a dog, please let me know. Ideally it would be a relatively non-chaotic environment with not too many visitors in and out of the house during the holidays.
