It's 2021!!! There are alot of posts saying things about the New Year the New You making resolutions and changes that hope for the new year will bring. My hope is in Christ Jesus not the New Year. I am choosing to pray for directions, to have my prayers answered, to place my hope in the one who created this New Year. ... Let's face it... Covid is still a huge obstacle Now immunizations are starting to come out There is still businesses and work and changes coming in this New Year... addictions and Mental Health issues are continuing to rise and social distancing is still a primary concern for us all. HOPE comes from Jesus, The God who created this world, and in Him we have the hope of eternal life... We can face the many challenges of our New Year in and through Christ Jesus. We are going to go through the circumstances anyway... Why not go through them with God and the Holy Spirit guiding the way with abundant hope and joy? How are you going to go through the circumstances of 2021? I am going to lean in and learn how with hope and peace... What are you greatfu for today? In the middle of our struggles, pain, crisis, frustration, or emotional upheaval we can stop and look for something in the moment that we can be thankful or greatful for... I know... why would I say to do that... I know truly I do... and I don't always do it right away... But God says Do not be anxious about anything, but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6). We enter God's presence through thanksgiving and praise... The last thing I want to do is thank anyone for what I am experiencing. Do you know that this is what is called positive psychology? It shifts are thinking, motivation, hope, and perseverance into possibilities and motivated energy? We are going to go through whatever experience we are in. We can't change that. What we can change is how we go through our suffering and circumstances. Next time you are feeling negative and grumbling to yourself why not try some positive reinforcement with praise nd Thanksgiving and see how it changes your life.
