https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6_CPry5l_8&feature=youtu.be Welcome to 100 Years of Rotary in Kingston! To celebrate the centennial of the founding of the Rotary Club of Kingston, all four Kingston Rotary Clubs are working on special events and projects. https://ckrotary.org//gabriela-calizaya-my-life-since-rota Thanks to this week's speaker Gaby, former Rotary Exchange student with our club in 2011-2012 from Chile. We highly recommend clubs get in touch with former REX students - they are great speakers!
The Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG) is dedicated to helping Rotary Clubs and Rotarians reduce their environmental footprints, and help to Rotary Clubs find projects in Rotary's new 7th area of focus, the environment.
Please join us Tuesday morning as we welcome Gabriela Calizaya. A former Rotary Exchange student, Gaby will speak to us from Peru. She will talk about how Rotary Exchange has affected her life and what life in Peru is like during Covid. You won't want to miss this meeting!

Our fulfillment team has sorted and mailed out the 354 gift certificates and pick-up vouchers. Thanks to all those who purchased items this year. With your help we have raised just over $36,000 for our worthwhile club projects.
We have so many people to thank... Our sponsors who help us to put on this auction. Our donors - some who stepped up and donated even more this year to make up for those who are struggling and couldn't donate. And to those who couldn't donate this year, we look forward to better times and having you back with us next year. Members and former/honourary members of our club, who purchased gift certificates for local businesses to help out our local economy. CKWS/Corus, especially Bill Welychka, who promote the auction tirelessly through the TV station and through Fresh Radio and Big FM. And to all of our bidders and buyers. You make this all possible.
Dinah was happy to receive her sponsorship cheque at our meeting last week. C-K Rotary is sponsoring Dinah on behalf of Kingston 4 Paws Service Dogs. To find out more about this great organization go to https://kingstonservicedogs.ca/
A sad day for Kingston and for CK Rotary. John Munro, marathon swimmer and spouse of Vicki Keith, has passed away. John was the recipient of Paul Harris recognition from our club a few years back for his outstanding community service. Our condolences to Vicki and their extended family.
So 5 pm today was the end of our 23rd Annual Rotary Community Auction. When we started this year we didn't know whether we would be able to pull this off, but we ended up raising an amazing amount of money for our projects that will help so many in our community and beyond.

#endpolionow Why is World Polio Day important to Rotary members worldwide?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY4AaZq9sSY&feature=youtu.be The eradication of Polio doesn't stop when the last case is recorded. Surveillance is a complicated and necessary task to make sure this highly contagious disease doesn't make a comeback. Rotarians help in this effort as well.
C-K Rotary has been helping Lunch by George for a few years now. One of our members, Elizabeth goes above and beyond, volunteering after our weekly meeting (pre-Covid) on Tuesdays
