Home we go.....---- That's a wrap on Central America. Belize and Guatemala you sure were amazing and such beautiful countries ... What a super fun mission that was. Backpacking is what we love to do and being out there with Dali is such a great feeling as an avid traveler getting to take your kid on adventures is so rewarding to see him out there a such a young age soaking up so much learning in his little mind. We spent days hiking the jungel, mission crossing borders and seeing ancient ruins like in Tikal then a whole new world spending days on the islands under the blistering sun as Dali ran back and forth into the ocean. We met families and friends talked with locals and spent those moments embracing there way of Central America living. Easy going and honest is how I would describe Belize and Guatemala. We made memories that will for sure last a lifetime and that will fill up a book with words as well as photos that for years to come will be looked back upon like a biography of our life. You're the next generation Dali Man. You are now 7 and we can see you upgrading your soul and mind everyday. That kid like spark is so alive in you that it makes us smile everyday. Being your mom and dad is the coolest job ever and we couldn't imagine our life any other way. You complete us my boy and I hope when you look back on these travels that it will always light a fire in uour soul with that passion for how amazing this world really is. This is your 15th country Dali Man We are so proud of you on this trip and how amazing of a little traveler you have become...showering with cold water if needed..just eating rice and drinking water and just spending those 8 hour travel days with a smile and open eyes is more then we could ask for. We love you Dali Man and can't wait for our next adventure..... Where to next is the questions..? We appreciate that so much and just wanted to make sure you all know that. Cause we love sharing these adventures with you. Paddle Board Missions in The Deep Blue Sea So as you can see we have been spending so much time in the ocean and enjoying this Caribbean country with all its water sports as the photos before we were even canoeing and we went kayaking too. Now paddle board madness Which leads us to todays photo.... Dali Man paddle board surfing in Belize. This photo makes me smile when I look at it. Dali is such a great kid who really is so brave to try anything Our days here are what we have been looking for with Dali. A way to explore this world and show him these adventures our souls have been searching for since 2007 when we left for 3 months to Thailand and Cambodia...those moments changed our life....a parallel shift happened over those travels as our soul felt pure freedom...freedom to explore and take the road less traveled and that's what we hope to instill into Dali Mans heart...the love of how diverse and amazing this world can be. Thus a full circle is born...here we are traveling with Dali Man backpacking just like we did 12 years ago...it makes our soul so happy in these seconds.... Check this kid out At a boy i think in my head as Dali stands up and we float through this turquoise water. It's weird how your mind processes happiness...what makes you smile inside your soul... I've been thinking a lot lately about how Dali is growing so much how he is just such a great kid and how he makes me so happy... So outgoing and always full of energy thats contagious to anyone around him. Always up for anything and always ready to party Turcotte style. We are so thankful for all of what you bring to our travels little buddy. We love you sooooo much This is who we are and what we love to do Cheers to Belize thats for sure.... Perfect Days at Secret Beach, Dali Man learns to drive and Pirate Hunts for Gold Coins We have been having so much fun on this Belizean Island called Ambergris Caye and spending the last 3 days at this little place on the island called Secret Beach. It's far from where we are staying so we took some directions from Ian who gave us a faded map that said we turn at the 3 mile marker then head east through the mangroves over a swamp filled section and don't worry just keep going...Continue reading
