#adoptionawarenessmonth

Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto 05.11.2020

The primary goal of Children’s Aid Societies is to support children to live safely with their family of origin. When that is not possible, Societies look for an alternate family, preferably known to the family, who can provide a safe, nurturing, and loving environment in which the child can grow up and flourish. Adoption is one option we consider when looking for life-long connections for children in care. The month of November is dedicated to raising awareness about adoption with our partners, government, and in the community. On Dress Purple Day we remind families that help is available and no one is alone. Today, on Dress Purple Day, we make sure families, especially those facing additional hardships during COVID-19, know that there are resources and services available to help them. CCAS dresses purple to remind them we are one of the places families can turn to for help. Find out more about the campaign here: www.oacas.org/dresspurpleday/

Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto 01.10.2020

Every October, Children’s Aid Societies across Ontario raise awareness about the important role that individuals and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families through the provincial Dress Purple Day campaign. The campaign is more important than ever, since the COVID-19 pandemic has created additional stressors for families, and in some cases has increased risk for the well-being and safety of children and youth. This year, Dress Purple Day will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. We are calling on all Ontarians to wear something purple to show children, youth, and families that they are here to help!
