Good morning! I think it's really important that Covid19 has pushed certain issues to the fore.... food security, poverty and homelessness, violence against women and children, by men, in homes. I heard someone say that this virus was created due to our cruelty to animals,,, keeping them locked in cages in markets. This may be so. Let's keep a focus on these important issues of humanity and integrity after the lock-down!!
Heja students! If you want to receive the CESB Canada Emergency Student Benefit and you have never before filed income tax, you need to call 1-800-959-8281 to register. Feel the deliciosity of socialized human care!!!
Montreal-Nord activist Will Prosper has pointed out that now, finally, Quebec is relying on the skills and experience of newcomer workers, some who we still deny citizenship and access to medical care. These are the people who are caring for Quebec's elders in the shoddily-run seniors' care homes, putting their lives at risk. We need to nationalize elder care across Canada, making it a part of medicare. One reason Montreal is #7 on the list of covid19-related deaths is due to 'for profit' elder care homes and the lack of oversight. Shout out to the workers who have not abandonned the elderly during this crisis!! Now, let's join together to give our elders the care they deserve in this country!
Hello/Salut, Je vais essayer d'écrire qqc presque chaque jour... les perspectives sur la pandémic.... et les répercussions pour les communautés autochtones et ceux qui vivent en pauvrété! Hi friends, I will try to share some analysis almost every day regarding the pandemic and the repercussions for the Indigenous community, as well as for those who live in poverty here in Quebec, including the unhoused!
No more fracking!!
Mourning that which we are losing. We must feel and process our grief to carry on with activism!
Sunscreen may be killing our fish!!
L'eau pour tous les canadiens!
Learn the lessons of the past. No more Indigenous lands taken; some given back!!
Please, can we call a national emergency around this and access a clean water supply .... and stop the industrial activities that are polluting water!!!!
