P O S I T I V I T Y . V S . N A I V E: This is a very important distinction especially in injury rehab. To me, being naive is just hoping for the best and trusting that everything is going to work out. I believe that faith, hope, or spirituality are important but you have to put in the work. Positivity, to me, means you are putting in the effort to make a change. You acknowledge there could be negative results but you are choosing to look at the bright side. There is a lot in the world right now that we can’t control. Focus on what you can control then choose to look on the positive side for the things you can’t control. What is one positive thing that has happened to you today?

This is your last chance to sign up for the Core Connection Virtual Workshop that is happening tonight! I have struggled with a weak core my whole life. In my dance years, I was constantly told to suck my tummy in and hold it like that ALL THE TIME. This left me with an uninformed idea of what the core should do and look like. In university I got in a car accident that ended my dance career and caused my grades to plummet. I had so much back pain I couldn’t sit in class. I...t wasn’t until I started addressing my core and overall muscle strength that I started to feel pain free. However, I was always afraid from these past experiences that if I got pregnant my body would fall apart. So I started researching, and what I found out is that the key is easier than I thought. And I have been applying these principles through my postpartum recovery. This is what has allowed me to return to barre classes at 6 weeks, and HIIT workouts at 12 weeks. I have found success with clients using these techniques 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years after having a baby. Have you ever thought, Well I have a weak core. If I can get someone to give me a good core workout then I will feel better. Have you done all the core exercises but you are still not sure if you are doing them right? Do you wonder if there is something missing from your workouts to take them to the next level? When your trainer or fitness instructor says to use your core you have no idea what they mean? Do you find yourself holding your breath or pushing your stomach up and out to the ceiling every time you do a core exercise? This class is for you! I will teach you how to feel the core and know that it is working when you want it to. Integrating this system is what has helps me to be an active mom and physiotherapist without having pain. I will walk you through: The anatomy of the core 3 steps for an easy subconscious core activation Cues and Metaphors to activate your core 3 exercises that you can do to integrate this core activation strategy Walk away with a 5 minute routine (that’s it 5 minutes) to apply it into your daily life. If you want to want to find out more head to my website or email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to discuss it with you! I only have 10 spots available and they are filling up. Can’t wait to see tonight! And bring a friend!

My body just didn’t feel like my own. After having a baby it didn’t just feel like I needed to get stronger but I actually had to FIND the muscles again. . I see this in clinic everyday, women struggling with 5 years of back pain ever since their child was born. Compounding injuries that never go away until she addresses her core. . Do you feel like ever since you have had children your body has never been the same? Does it feel like the same nagging injuries and low back... pain just keep coming back? No matter how much core exercises you do in the gym, it feels like your core just never gets any stronger? . I see you! I’ve created the Core Connection Virtual Workshop for active mamas to learn how to activate their core in order to get most out of their workouts. I will be hosting it online so you can attend from the comfort of your living room. On Monday, June 1st, put the kids to bed and come take some time for yourself. . This is not about giving you crazy strenuous exercises but rather a strategy that you can carry forward in order to make every exercise a core exercise. . I know that this is a challenging time. Reduced finances, working from home, and taking care of your kids full time. Your time is valuable! Learn how to get the most out your workouts by learning strategies that I usually teach over 2-3 private physiotherapy sessions. . If you’re interested, follow the link in my bio head to my website and find out more information. If you know a mama friend that could benefit please share this with them. See more
