Abondance, one of our favourite alpine beauties is back! First produced by Augustine monks in the twelfth century, to this day its recipie remains largely unchanged. ... Abondance can only be made in the mountains of the Haute-Savoie using centuries old techniques and skills. It must also be exclusively produced with raw milk from the Abondance (minimum 45%), Tarentaise and Montbéliarde cattle breeds. Delicate notes of freshly cooked milk, butter, pasture and hazelnut define Abondance. Delicious at room temperature
