Sugar free does not mean healthy! It can certainly be an alternative once in a while but please do your body a favour and try not to consume "sugar free" products every day. Here is why: 1) When something is sugar free, often times companies will increase the fat content because it still needs to taste good to the consumer. ... 2) Sugar free products contain many artificial sweeteners and preservatives (again, because it needs to taste good to us and last long in our cupboards). These artificial sweeteners include sucralose, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, potassium sorbate, and sodium benzoate. 3)These are all chemical additives that can cause serious diseases and illnesses, as well as weight gain. Marketing companies have done a wonderful job at tricking us. There are many DIY healthy options for sweetening our drinks and foods (that these companies don't want you to know about). These include: honey, maple syrup, pure vanilla extract, monk fruit, coconut sugar, agave nectar, blackstrap molasses, brown rice syrup, date sugar, and yacon syrup. Living a healthy lifestyle is not easy by any means and many people will throw opinions at you (causing confusion). But don't worry, I've got you covered; just always try to remember to look at the facts. Well folks, a new month has begun and with that a new season is also upon us. While the leaves are changing and the weather is changing, you my friend are also changing! Do you wake up feeling tired even after getting a full night's sleep? Are you drained by lunch time and get that afternoon smack in the face of exhaustion? ... Do you realize by 10am you're a little hungry and then end up eating most (or all) i of your lunch? Do you sometimes find grocery shopping complicated and feel anxious about going? Do you resort to take-out and drive-thru meals because its quicker and easier? If you answered yes to any of these, I am here to help! As everything around us transitions into something new, it's time for you to do the same. Why wait until next week or next month or the new year? If you know that right now is not the time for you to make changes, I'd say that is actually a really great start (it demonstrates self awareness). It is important to set yourself up for success with a mindset that is ready and willing to accept change (and I'll still be here waiting when you decided to make the jump). BUT, I encourage you to think about ALL the reasons you SHOULD dip your toes in the water right now. In just 6 weeks you could be feeling AMAZING by Christmas. By spring or even mid-winter, you could have accomplished all your goals! My 12 week program not only targets those challenges I listed above, but it also helps you to completely transform the way you think and feel so that you can live the rest of your life with healthy habits.
