As we find ourselves back to alert level 5 we ask that our residents do everything possible to help stop the spread of Covid and the newly discovered variant. Please understand that when responding we will be required to follow the same level of PPE and safety protocols that we were using last March and April. Stay safe and remember that we are prepared and ready to continue our services.

So we are starting to see some colder temperatures and folks are anxious to get out on the ice. With the beautiful weather we have had as of late the ponds, brooks and rivers in our area are not yet safe and venturing onto the ice is a tragedy waiting to happen. Please wait for more cold weather and always check the ice thickness before venturing out.

The Come By Chance FD would like to send our sincere condolences to the Stacey family who had to say goodbye to their dad and grandfather, MR Charles Stacey. Know that your comrades at the Dept are thinking of you all at this difficult time.

With a possibility of our area receiving 100 plus mm of rain tonight we ask that residents keep an eye on their property for signs of flooding. The CBC FD would like to advise users of the trailway that there is a large wash out 2 km east of the Transmission Line . Members have put signs and warning tape up, please use extra caution when travelling though the area from Glenview ( weigh scale area ) to Come By Chance.
