Approximately 1.5 million Canadians live with the effects of an acquired brain injury. Brain-related injuries are more common than we think, with symptoms often... taking the form of physical, cognitive and behavioural effects such as fatigue, nausea, poor concentration or irritability. Together, let’s raise awareness on the importance of recognizing brain injuries from their early onset, ensure those impacted receive the support they need, and dedicate ourselves to helping them achieve a better quality of life. #BrainInjuryAwarenessMonth #Recovery

Here are some of the things you should expect when you come back in to the clinic; You will be asked a series of pre-screen assessment questions to determine appropriateness for in clinic care. Should you not meet the requirements, your appointment will be rescheduled for a more appropriate day based on curr...ent COVID-19 research. All clients and staff will be required to wear masks when physical distancing measures (2m) cannot be obtained. However, we strongly suggest masks be worn at all times to reduce the risk of any exposure. All high risk items will be removed from the clinic and hand sanitizer will be readily available for use. Our physiotherapists at CBI Health have been working tirelessly to ensure that our clients are still getting exceptional care and treatment during the pandemic,... even when physical contact is not an option. They have positively impacted our clients’ well-being and helped them stay active and mobile in this challenging time. The team has embraced our virtual care/telehealth program and found new ways to collaborate and share information and best practices with their colleagues nationwide. Their effort to achieve this in such a quick period has been tremendous, and our entire team truly appreciates it. To our physiotherapists across Canada Thank you for rising to the challenge and for everything you do to help our clients achieve their health and wellness goals. #NationalPhysiotherapyMonth
Today is a difficult day for all Canadians as we struggle with the news of the tragic events in Nova Scotia. Yesterday’s violence was a senseless dark act in a... community renowned for its vibrancy and brightness. Nova Scotians are also known for their resiliency and heart, and while we are all still struggling to process this tragedy, we know that these events will not define them or diminish their indomitable spirit. We join the millions across the country in mourning those who were lost and expressing our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and loved ones. To our staff, clients, and everyone in Nova Scotia, know that you are in our thoughts and the thoughts of all Canadians. As we have already shown during the pandemic, we will pull together to support one another through hardship. Now, more than ever, we are all in this together.
