USBC/CTF Rule Change: No more balance holes as of August 1st 2020 USBC has announced an upcoming change about a year ago regarding the balance holes on a tenpin bowling ball. As of August 1, 2020, you will not be allowed to bowl with a bowling ball that has a weight hole if you are bowling in a CTF sanctioned league or tournament.
