The grinder is the undersung hero of the coffee station. For years I'd considered getting a grinder, rather than buying ground coffee weekly at the coffee shop near my office. COVID-19 work-from-home changed my routine, so I took the plunge and bought my Baratza Encore and I'm glad I did. I can now buy whole beans at stores on online and grind it fresh daily. The reason that I chose it over comparable machines is that replacement burrs and many other parts can be purchased directly from Baratza. So when the burrs go dull or you crack the lid, etc. it's not time for the landfill! You can probably order what you need from the company. So, fresh-ground coffee AND responsible practices!
