Congrats Graduates!

Congratulations to all of the students today graduating from CBU and the Public Health Program! We know you will all go on to do wonderful things!

CBU will be suspending all in-person classes between Monday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 18 to allow administration and faculty to prepare for the transition... to remote learning. In-person classes will not be held for the rest of winter semester. Courses will resume on Thursday, March, 19, 2020 in a different format. Hi Everyone! It is the time of the year where the executives of the society will be selected for 2020-2021 school year. If you are interested in planning events, making new friends, volunteering and becoming involved at CBU then we highly encourage becoming an executive. We would like to stress these positions take a great deal of commitment and are not paid. ... Tickets for our Banquet are now on sale! Our Annual end of the year Public Health Banquet will be on March 21st, 2020 from 6:00pm-10:00pm. The banquet will take place downtown Sydney at the Joan Harris Cruise Pavilion on the second floor. This is a formal event to celebrate the accomplishments and success of the 2020 graduates (students in any year of study are welcome) with the society, students, and faculty. ... Tickets are $25 per person, this includes a three course meal. You are welcome to buy tickets for plus ones whether that is dates or friends outside of the Public Health Program! The Executive team (Alan, Stacey, Victoria, Laura, Renee, Una, Shiva, & Emike) will be selling the tickets as well as every Tuesday in the Public Health Lab (A112) from 11:45-12:45. Cash & E-Transfer accepted. Tickets will be on sale until March 16th, 2020. We look forward to seeing you there!

On Thursday February 27th, 2020 at 11:30am in the RBC Lecture Theatre (CE258), Janice Gammie from CIPHI will be Skyping in from Halifax to discuss what the expectations are around practicums. This is not a session about how to get a practicum but is about what you do during a practicum to become certified. This session is open to anyone who is interested in attending but is aimed at graduating students who are interested in obtaining certification.

Our annual Public Health Banquet will be on March 21st, 2020! The location will be at the Joan Harris Cruise Pavilion (The Big Fiddle) from 6:00pm-10:00pm Tickets for this event will be on sale later this week and will be $25 each.

We will be in the cafeteria from 11:30am to 1:00pm! Stop by our table for some henna (for a small donation fee) & to order some Cape Breton fudge to support our banquet!

We will be in the cafeteria from 11:30-1 with Sravani who is going to do Henna for a small donation fee on February 14th (Friday) 24th (Monday) & 25th (Tuesday) ! We will also be taking orders for fudge!
