Good facts on plastics and recycling
Public space recycling has been part of the CBWA for more than a decade. Sarnia, Ontario was one of the first public space recycling pilot projects. Ice River Springs, a long standing CBWA member, has been making 100 percent recycled PET bottles for more than a decade. The challenge now are to process our recyling here in Canada and not ship materials overseas. Good for business, good for the environment and good for Canada.... https://www-cbc-ca.cdn.ampproject.org//www./amp/1.5767552

As COVID-19 restrictions start to lessen, you can look forward to being outside of your home a little more often. And when you are out and about, there’s no better way to quench your thirst than with bottled water. It’s safe; convenient; doesn’t contain any sugars, additives, or caffeine; and is packaged in shatterproof, recyclable plastic for your on-the-go lifestyle. A lot of people think packaging alternatives (like aluminum cans, glass bottles, and paperboard containers) ...would be better than plastic for the environment. In reality though, plastic is actually better. Using packaging alternatives would produce about 60 percent more greenhouse gas emissions than plastic beverage containers. See for yourself: Table 4-14, https://plastics.americanchemistry.com//LCA-of-Plastic-Pac. Just remember to recycle! #DrinkMoreWater #HealthyHydration #BottledWaterBecause See more

Another plastic bottle recycling story. Thank you for recycling.
It is good to see how the recycling of beverage containers and caps are being made into other products.
Recycling plastic bottles into new products saves 50-60% of the energy that is required to make the same product from raw materials. http://www.cbwa.ca/index.p/resources/recycling-matters.html
With its infinite recyclability, environmentally positive profile and limitless life cycle, PET can come back to serve us again and again - and not just as another water bottle.
