Season’s Greetings! Hello Community, This holiday season will have special meaning for us all, as we fellowship with family and friends, guided by our concerns for everyone’s health and wellbeing. Christmas cards are back in vogue; scheduled calls to family and friends, home decorating, cooking and baking are all seeing a resurgence.... These revivals remind us of what really matters: relationships, happiness, health. Also, that we are all connected- one family. The CCAWR wishes everyone a joyful and peaceful holiday season, however you choose to celebrate it. See you again in 2021! Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanzaa! Feliz Navidad! Joyeux Noel! Seasons Greetings! The CCAWR P.S. The poinsettia is recognized as a symbol of the holiday season in the Caribbean. For more information check out our Facebook post, or this article from Maco Caribbean Living: https://www.macocaribbeanliving.com//points-for-poinsettia/

****Foster homes 'desperately' needed to keep children in Waterloo region, agency says**** Victor Santiago, family recruitment worker with the Family and Children's Services of Waterloo Region, says the agency needs about 40 additional foster families to meet the current demand. He said there is an overrepresentation of Indigenous and Black children in care and it's crucial those children are placed in Indigenous and Black homes to "make sure the attachment is still there." "...We are in desperate need," he said. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5792291 Sign up for the free November 16th information night: https://www.facswaterloo.org/events/foster-info-night-2
