Cariboo Community Deathcaring Network 08.12.2020

It's been a rough year friends. We invite you to gather with us (Nicola and Angela / Cariboo Community Deathcaring Network) to touch base and catch up. This Sunday, Dec 13th, 1 - 2:30 pm Pacific time. Online, on Zoom... No agenda, no cost, no expectations other than kindness. We talk about death and dying and life and living and we'd love to have you join us. Tap the 'Going' button on the Event page and we'll send you the Zoom link on messenger on Saturday. That's it. It's that easy. Make yourself a nice cuppa tea, cozy up in your favourite chair, and let's talk. https://m.facebook.com/events/136778174668812

Richard Rosin, aka ‘Winnipeg’s Friendliest Undertaker’, is one of a growing number of progressive Canadian funeral directors. He is a Director on the Board of the Green Burial Society of Canada, he welcomes working with Death Doulas and he’s all about helping families make the best choices for them rather than the best choice for his bottom line. Lately, he’s been offering interesting and informative conversations with guests on Facebook Live. I was delighted when Richard ...invited me to have a conversation with him. We talked about Natural Burial, Community Deathcare and Touch Wood Memorial Rings Richard is also an avid wood turner and some of his pens have graced the desks of folks in pretty high places. On one of these talks we need to turn the table (pun intended) and get Richard to tell us about his pens. https://www.facebook.com/RichardRosinFuneralDirector/videos/1596919433836139 #community #greenburial #communitydeathcare #naturalburial #naturalburialinbc #memorialrings #touchwoodmemorialrings #cariboonaturalburialsanctuary #greenburialbc #touchwoodrings #nicolafinch #deathdoula #cariboo #richardrosin

Hey friends! What a month. If you are in need of a massive reset, this is what I recommend. Join Angel Grant at her monthy #deathmeditation - I know this sound...s like a paradox - but it really is one of the most powerful rebirthing, renewal practices I have ever encountered. Sometimes we don't need to go anywhere to gain a completely new perspective. Friday at noon, no charge. Register here:

Carla Reed Brown shares the story of the home funeral she and her sister created for their mother. Even though she died in the ICU, with the support of home funeral guide and educator, Olivia Bareham, Carla brought her mother's body home to care for her there. Because her grandma loved candy, Carla's 6 year old daughter tucked a Snickers bar into her shroud, just in case.
