Join #OrangeShirtDay events on September 30 to learn more about the legacies of residential schools and commemorate the experiences of survivors. Orange Shirt Day was started in 2013, as Phyllis Jack Webstad shared the harmful impact of residential schools, as a survivor. On her first day of school as a young child, her shirt - a bright vibrant orange - was taken away. This story became symbolic of her experiences to come, and the experiences of Indigenous children throughout residential schools in Canada. #EveryChildMatters Registration: ow.ly/50xD50BD4Bz
