Today is #WorldDiabetesDay. Thanks to our generous partnership with Sun Life Canadain collaboration with our 13 children’s hospitals, we are improving diabetes treatment for kids, and changing the health of Canada. Sun Life has helped fund 12 projects at our children’s hospitals, marking the first time all 13 of Canada’s children’s hospitals have come together to build preventative and support initiatives around diabetes. Sun Life has also supported the development of Mean...t2Prevent an online hub of tools and resources from health care professionals across Canada that families and youth with type 2 diabetes can have access to. For 26 years, TD has been supporting Canada's children's hospitals through Children's Miracle Network. TD has raised over $94 million, funding that has supported revolutionizing treatment and care through research, creating healing environments, and delivering the right care at the right place at the right time. Based on current findings from Accessing Centre for Expertise (ACE) at the University of Toronto, adolescence is a dynamic period which has a significant impact on a person’s overall health and development.
