Laid into a set of vortecs this weekend. Budget was pretty tight on this job so mostly just clean up, open the throat up a bit and bowl blend. No need for bigger valves, runner porting etc.. you can kill this head pretty quick. It’s going on a mild 350 entire build coming soon..

Here is the very first engine I built for myself with the help of my father. 16yrs old. It was a 350 stock crank and rods, TRW pop up pistons, 882 heads with a Blue Racer .480 camshaft on a 1.6 rocker and Z springs. It was topped off with a Holley street dominator intake and a 650 Holley spreadbore. By the looks of all the overspray I was obviously very anxious to get this back into my Camaro. The following summer I worked my butt off and put together $1800 and had the heads fully ported with 2.02/1.60 valves and I port matched the intake myself. From there it was on! The car got woke up with 4.10 gears a full exhaust and a 2800 stall. I used to spin this thing to 7,000rpm (approx 800 more rpm then necessary lol) It was a fun car for a kid still in High School and we handed a lot of Mustang ass! She never blew up tho..
