Cancer can change everything, but it doesn’t have to define who you are. Because life is bigger than your diagnosis. Bigger than chemo. Bigger than the scars. Life is about who you’re with and celebrating every moment we share with those we love. It’s about memories that live on, even if the ones we love are no longer with us. Life is bigger than cancer.
Though COVID-19 has changed many workplaces, our staff are still finding a way to come together online to go #PlaidforDad. On the Friday before Father's Day, Ca...nadians are encouraged to go plaid and help raise awareness and funds for the prostate cancer cause. Today, join us by sharing a photo of you, your co-workers or loved ones wearing plaid on social media with the hashtag, #PlaidforDad. For every post, a $5 donation (up to $20,000) will be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and our work to build a world where no one fears prostate cancer. With 1 in 9 Canadian men expected to hear the words, "you have prostate cancer", in their lifetime, our amalgamation with Prostate Cancer Canada earlier this year means we'll be able to accomplish even more for people affected by prostate cancer through initiatives like #PlaidforDad. Participating in Plaid for Dad is a simple and meaningful way for a people to come together and support the individuals and families effected by prostate cancer. You can donate, bring people together to make a difference online and learn more about how you can be a force-for-life in the face of prostate cancer on our website: https://bit.ly/3hFSAiu
Thank you for joining us at Relay At Home! We hope you enjoyed our first-ever virtual Relay, as we came together with Canadians across the country to celebrate ...survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and show those with cancer that they’re not alone. While COVID-19 has changed our world in unprecedented ways, we proved our community is stronger than ever. This year, 4,200 participants joined Relay At Home. Together, we raised $4.3 million! Today, people with cancer are facing additional uncertainty as they cope with their diagnosis during the pandemic. It’s with the help of our supporters that we can continue serving the thousands of people who turn to us each day for information, compassion and hope. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
Join the Canadian Cancer Society on Saturday, June 13 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM ET! With interactive activities and time to celebrate survivors and remember those we’ve lost, Relay At Home will show Canadians that no one in our communities must face cancer alone.
