Today's tip: When doing a PR campaign, one tendency bands have is to shoot for the largest publications possible vs trying to find niche audiences. The thought behind this is generally that a large publication has a large audience, so this can be more beneficial to the band. This may or may not be more beneficial to a band then reaching out to more niche publications, the reason being is that the niche publications have a hungry audience for your genre, while the BIG publicat...ions are more broad. For example, landing a spot at a place at Spin or Pitchfork is a great thing, however I've seen it where a death metal band has got significantly less traction at those places then they did at a more genre focused site like No Clean Singing, Invisible Oranges or Metal Injection. Just be aware if you're a doom metal band (for example) your audience is going to be found at sites that specialize in doom metal, not places that feature artists like Cardi B or Billie Elish. I hope that helps! Also if you're looking for help with an upcoming release and would like to see if we are a good fit, either DM me or email me back at [email protected] All prices can be found at www.dewarpr.wordpress.com

In today's podcast episode for SCAM WEEK we talk about the difference between a scammer and an idiot. There are plenty of idiots, very few scammers, but sometimes the two get conflated. In this episode we go over several key differences and how to tell them apart! https://www.ghostcultmag.com/dumb-and-dumbest-episode-512-/... Also, if you are looking for help with PR and would like to see if we are a good fit, either DM the page or email me at [email protected]

Next up on my series of things you can post about: Images of merchandise/physical product. Posting images of the CD/Vinyl/Tape itself is a great way to create interest in physical sales of your music!... You not only can post a picture of the CD itself, but you can also switch it up where you post pictures of yourself or other people holding the album. Also, another great idea is to post a picture of the album next to your pet dog/cat/snake etc. In addition you not only can do a post showing the front side of the CD/Vinyl, but you can do another one later in the month/week showing the back cover, the insert, the CD itself etc. Each time you make this post, make sure you provide a link to purchase the album so you don't lose out on potential sales. That's all for today, more tomorrow! If you need help with PR and would like to see if we are a good fit, either DM the page or email me at [email protected] All prices can be found at www.dewarpr.wordpress.com

Anatomy of Fear is a brilliant, auspicious debut, a 360 rear view turn from metal, showcasing Guarda’s talents on strings and mic. There’s enough classical nua...nce to attract those who would never venture near metal and enough industrial/pop feel to attract moshing ears. Thank you http://coveringthescene.com/gaia-guarda-anatomy-fear/ Dewar PR
