Farm Life- A Mini Exhibition by Norm Bradford Come and check out the brilliant artwork of local artist Norm Bradford, from August 14 to September 4. There will also be a meet and greet with Norm on Saturday, August 15 from 1pm to 5pm. For more details, you can find the meet and greet in our events. Painter, naturalist, and conservationist, Norm Bradford is a well-known Albert County, New Brunswick, wildlife/country-life artist especially due to the fact that he is part of an... elite group of artists and artisans on the Fundy Studio Tour. Norm was born in Granby, Quebec where his talent was recognized at an early age. Art was not considered a suitable career path; he was not encouraged to study art. Although he excelled in business management and sales, his heart remained an artist. In his spare time, he turned towards realism using acrylics to capture wildlife in its various habitats after being inspired by the works of Parker, Bateman and Grondin and many more. He studied with several artists to develop the hard-won techniques that he now uses and teaches. His work combines a realistic style with interesting compositions, and captures both the particularities of the country life and his conservationist spirit. He was drawn to New Brunswick, its waters, its mountains, its history and later moved there from Quebec to follow his passion. He now lives in 150 year old farmhouse high on a hill. He raises alpacas and has his studio on the second floor of his barn. He was following his dream and he enjoys every moment of country life. In his paintings, he features local animals, birds, landscapes, old buildings, and country nostalgia. "I want to remind people of the beauty in the country life, which we are forgetting, and I would like to protect it. That is what I try to express in my paintings." In June, 2017 his painting The Lobster House was chosen by a panel of judges from hundreds of entries to grace Moncton city halls gallery for the summer. His paintings have sold internationally. Some as wedding gifts, Christmas gifts and others to decorate their homes or cottages. https://facebook.com/events/s/farm-life-a-meet-and-greet-wit/307992703655148/?ti=cl
