Ivan Cavallari revisits this great classic originally choreographed by Fokine, created at the request of famous ballerina Anna Pavlova and presented for the first time at the renowned Mariinski Theatre more than a century ago. On the notes of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Swan, a dancer turned into a gracious bird lives her last moments, confronted with the inevitability of her faith. Accompanied on the piano by conductor Nicolas Ellis and cellist David Ellis, our dancer Maude Sabourin delivers a poignant solo, an echo to the resilience and hope that lives in us all.

Registration is now open for auditions for Canada's National Ballet School'...s Professional Ballet-Academic Program. NBS offers Olympic-calibre dance training, academic instruction and residential care all on the same campus located in Toronto for students in grades 6 to 12, and post-secondary students. Auditions will take place over Zoom video conferencing this Fall and Winter for admission to the 2021/22 academic year.
