Have you been to Catholic Cafe recently? Still happening, every Tues, Wed, Thurs from 3 -4 pm. Recently, we've talked about everything from Catholic YouTubers we like, to books and authors we like to read (from low- to high-brow; guess who admitted to reading the Twilight trilogy first??) and even a little talk about MMA! Drop in and say hi! #Chaplaincy #McMasterChaplaincy #UniversityChaplaincy #CatholicChaplaincy #catholics #catholic #catholicchurch #romancatholic #catholicism #catholicfaith #catholiccafe #HamOntCatholic #churchchat #coffeetalk

Lent, an encounter with fasting and feasting! The 40-day season of Lent begins this week with Ash Wednesday. This year, we invite you to look at Lent not only as a sombre season of fasting but also a season of feasting. Throughout Lent this year, we will have a series of Wednesday posts that we hope will provide you with a means to really connect to the season and encourage you to deepen your experience. Starting this Wednesday, Fr. Markus will have a special Ash Wednesday ...video message for our faith community, so keep an eye out! The week prior to the Holy Week, the Chaplaincy will be hosting a Lenten Mission. We'll be honoured by the presence of our new Auxiliary Bishop, the Most Reverend Bishop Lobsinger, who will be leading the mission! We invite our entire faith community, both the church and chaplaincy, to participate and reconnect with one another, and grow spiritually as we experience this Lent unlike any that has come before. More details to come! #Lent #FastandFeast #AshWednesday #Catholic #HamOntCatholic
New missals will be available for pick-up within the next few weeks. If you would like one, please let us know. You can contact the office, or let Sr. Mary know to put one aside for you. A small donation of $5 will be appreciated. We'll notify you via our socials when they are ready for pick up! #SundayMissal
Alpha and omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. In Revelation 22:13, Christ says "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." These two letters symbolize that Christ is the beginning and the end of all creation, that God is eternal. #catholicsymbol #alphaomega #Catholic #HamontCatholic #TheMoreYouKnow #beginningandend
