Looks to me like the "Great One" wasn't just great at the game of Hockey. He's also great at the game of "Real Estate". What's that Wayne saying again: ‘I skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been.’ The Gretzkys sold the house in 2007 for $18.5 million, records show. At the time, they were traveling back and forth from Arizona where Mr. Gretzky was working as head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes, and they decided to build a home there, Ms. Gretzky said. Wh...en they returned to Los Angeles a few years later, they decided they wanted the house back. They bought it from a subsequent owner in an off-market deal in 2018 for $13.5 million, records show. #covid19 This is the very similar advice we have been giving our members since April. The vaccine is not a silver bullet and will not be widely available until late 2021. And if many don't take it, that will add to the complexity. The five recommended steps are: Accept Reality Plan for More Shutdowns... Live Like You’re Contagious Build for the Pandemic Hunt the Virus Ask yourself what you can do, right now, for the people who would be burdened most by new waves of illness. Do you have neighbors who wouldn’t be able to get out at all? Do you have elderly relatives who would be totally alone? If you can teach them how to use Zoom right now, Stephen Kissler advised, that might be easier to do while we can still do it in person. #maskup #maskupamerica #emergencyresponders #emergencymanagement #riskmanagement #crisismanagement #crisiscommunications #socialmedia #businesscontinuity #publichealth #hospitals #infectiousdiseases #healthcare #reputationbrand #emergencyservices #crisis #brma #emergencyresponse https://lnkd.in/g7ad-7Q

Cottage country home prices soar as people flee megacities The affluent were already becoming more inclined to incorporate more remote work and seek out second homes, Hitt says. The pandemic just accelerated that trend into the present. They're learning they can do their job as effectively [while working] remote. So these second-home shoppers are making the long-term decision that their post-pandemic life will include a mix of in-office and remote work, he adds, and they're t...aking the plunge and buying. Surging prices for second homes also highlights a sharp economic divide. Health and safety notwithstanding, I think this begs the question of why it makes sense to fight rush hour traffic 10X a week in a pollution-emitting metal box (or cramming into a moving germ factory) to spend a fixed time period sitting in a group distraction factory in order to access technology that's available anywhere there's a power outlet and internet connection. Don't get me wrong: I'm not saying offices should go away entirely; there are times when being together in person is valuable, but reverting to an industrial revolution era fixed schedule seems like a major step backward for many employees who have proven their ability to drive results regardless of physical location. #realestate #2020realestate
