Some early udder development on Cedar Green Annie's Song! She is a FF out of Potting Shed Pearl x Potting Shed Oakley and is bred to Furthur Jim Beam. She is due December 23rd. My first Oakley daughter to freshen, so this is an exciting breeding for our farm!

Due to a huge jump in price of chicken feed I am going to have to raise my egg price to $7 a doz. We use non gmo chicken feed which in my opinion makes it a superior product and one that you can't find just anywhere. Most farmers use the cheaper feed that contains gmo soy, corn and canola. Our price is still comparable to grocery store free range eggs that aren't non gmo so I hope to keep you all as customers still but understand if that won't work for you! Effective November 14th. This breeding happened today! Potting Shed Pearl x Furthur Jim Beam. The results of this breeding 2 seasons ago was Cedar Green Meadow Rose, currently my highest production doe even as a first freshener, who won first in her class this summer and reserve champion at the Online Chilliwack Fair. Pearl is a lovely doe with a socked on udder and perfect teat placement. Jim Beam has added a huge increase in production and larger teats to his daughters without taking away anything which is making for some pretty awesome milkers.

One of my more exciting breedings this year! Cedar Green Meadow Rose x Potting Shed King Crab. Rose is perhaps my most promising doe right now, freshening last spring with lots of milk and a lovely udder. King is new to us this summer and has those new Rosasharn lines (VERY dairy) in him that Jack brought up a few years ago from the states. King is a deep chested, level and wide buck. Doeling reserved. Doeling retained.
