Have you heard of CASL? It's Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation that applies to all of your outgoing phone and email communications. The basics: don't contact anyone who hasn't given you their express consent or who you don't have an existing business relationship with.... What's express consent? It means: - don't add anyone to your email newsletter that hasn't clicked a subscribe box (you can't automatically check this for them) On top of that: - don't add anyone to your cold-call list who is on the national "do not call" list - do place an unsubscribe button on e-newsletters and remove those who click it - do continue to call or email your customers when it relates directly to their business with you (like when their parts are ready or just to catch up) Have questions?
