Today was busier than usual, with two specialty cakes going out. This Superheroes cake for a birthday boy and his Poppa have their faces in place of Batman and Spider-Man's faces.

Happy Birthday to my awesome husband, John (aka "my lovely assistant"). I dont know what Id do without him in my business...and in my life!

The second cake was Cookie Monster for a 3rd birthday. This one was time-consuming, but so much fun to make and decorate.

The Cupcake Lady had so much fun doing this Pacman cake, complete with ghosts.

This Friday is Creamsicle Day, and to honour such a momentous occasion, the Cupcake Lady will feature Creamsicle cupcakes at the Kemptville Farmers' Market this Sunday. Naturally-orange cupcakes with a vanilla cake core, iced with Vanilla/Orange Buttercream, topped with orange zest. Yummy!

The Cupcake Lady WILL be at the Kemptville Farmers Market today, rain or shine. Depending on the severity of the anticipated thunderstorms, though, the market may close early. Please pick up pre-orders between noon and 1:30.

Pink Lemonade: a lightly raspberry-flavoured lemon cupcake and Buttercream

Cupcake and Buttercream both made with real pineapple juice, coconut and rum extracts, topped with fresh pineapple pieces. A day at the beach without the sand!
