Glengarry Town <3 O, Have you seen our Glengarry Town Where artists, musicians and singers abound. Dancers dance on and pipers march by... Beneath the Alexandria sky. So come merry makers, so come everyone! Lay your work down and join in the fun. The fiddles are sending their sweet music forth Through the heart of our hamlet in Glengarry North Progress has taken out much of your past Like the stones of the Priest's mill, the memories last There's much in the here and the now to behold Alexandria, you're two hundred years old! There's no place more lovely than your Island Park. It's a haven for sure be it daytime or dark. And down Bishop Street lays a wee piece of land Your Grotto, restored, is looking so grand. In summer, folks gather with blanket or chair For the music plays on when the weather is fair. If someone should ask the whole crowd would agree There's no other place where they'd rather be! There's a place in Glengarry you're never alone With her century homes of wood, brick and stone Her churches majestic, their spires touch the sky, And peal off the hours as you're walking by.
