EDMONTON CHAPTER Board of Director Vacancies Serving the community of all those who are celiac, have dermatitis herpetiformis or adversely affected by gluten, the Edmonton Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association has a strong tradition of leadership and volunteerism since 1984. There is a committed core of directors in place however we have a critical need to fill the President and Secretary positions. We also have openings for additional Directors-at-Large. These are opp...ortunities for you to contribute to the Chapter. If you are interested or even curious about any of these positions please email me at [email protected]. Why You You are experienced and are looking for a way to give back to the community. Or, you seek an opportunity to build your resume by developing leadership and administrative skills at the Board level. 1. President: Time commitment is variable. The President is responsible for overseeing the affairs of the Board/Chapter and chairing the meetings of the Board of Directors. The President is required to have filled a previous position on the board or have related experience. 2. Secretary: Time commitment is minimum 3 hours per month. The secretary is responsible for keeping accurate minutes for the meetings and circulating them to the Board, maintains general correspondence and related file information and carries out other duties as assigned by the Board. 3. Director-at-Large: Time commitment is approximately 2 hours per month to as many hours as you like! As a Director at Large you are responsible for the general governance of the chapter. In addition, you are free to take on any responsibilities or projects that you would like ... You can help with recruitment, promoting the chapter ... The possibilities are endless!
