We are delighted to announce that this year's recipient of The Young Lamplighter award is Joshua Switzer son of Allan and Sandy Switzer. Joshua, a senior in King David High School, is a dedicated volunteer at the JFS Jewish Food Link who without fanfare shows up at 7 AM every Thursday to move boxes, prepare packages and do whatever it takes to help many needy people receive food packages that they rely on. Come honor this young man as well as all the young lamplighters who help to make this world kinder and brighter. Joshua will receive his award at the Public Menorah Lighting in the Semiahmoo Shopping Centre Food Court on Dec 22 at 6:45 PM.
