Mission Creek is in full freshet it seems. I found a chart to show the Stream Discharge rate for Mission Creek and added a photo at the dike setback for the Mission Creek Restoration Initiative for context.

50 years of Earth Day - we have such rich wildlife and its habitat in the Central Okanagan and even with that abundance...it is still so fragile. Time to 'pause' perhaps and be thankful for the rich variety we have and work to help maintain it for future generations.

If you need an excuse to get out with your family and friends - then the current need for social distancing is that perfect excuse! It's a beautiful day, so why not head out to one of our wonderful parks and trail settings - here are just a few close by....Rose Valley Regional Park, Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional Park and Lebanon Creek Linear Trail, Munson Pond, Mission Creek Greenway. These are all park/habitat projects in which COLT has been involved! Please share this post and see you out of doors - it will do your body and soul good!
